We are very proud of the success of LAH, which operates from an office within the church. It is now
part of the Methodist Homes organisation and recently received a Community Award. It was originally the inspiration of Revd Ruth Farrant over 20 years ago, when she was a member of our congregation. It offers support for elderly people in Wincanton and the surrounding area who are feeling isolated or lonely or may perhaps be disabled or just want to get involved. It is supported by a team of volunteers and transport is provided to all events. As well as various weekly activities, mostly in our hall, there are monthly lunches out and about, including a men's pub lunch, occasional trips and even an annual holiday.
